Career in Accounting

What is Accounting?

Accounting is the process of identifying, measuring, analysing and communicating economic information so people can make informed judgments and decisions. It involves recording, classifying, summarising and interpreting financial transactions and events. Accountants also give advice on the financial dealings of organisations and individuals, and advise on associated record-keeping and compliance requirements.

Studying accounting gives you the tools to understand how and why key business decisions are made, and how to have input into those decisions.
